Line Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Manages staff. Provides guidance, training and motivation as necessary to develop staff. Hires, evaluates and counsels crew members. Follows corporate disciplinary procedures when required. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback, and recommends wage increases in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
  2. Develops and implements changes to departmental policies and procedures to meet changing business needs.
  3. Works closely with Team Leaders to develop and implement staffing and operational plans. Participates in the development of short and long range goals for the department.
  4. Initiates and manages workflow changes to ensure the highest level of service in terms of quality and timeliness. Evaluates operational workflows to increase staff efficiencies.
  5. Analyzes and resolves the most complex client issues, implements systematic solutions and proper controls, and reviews internal partner feedback.
  6. Develops close working relationships with all appropriate internal partner groups, such as Core, Individual Production Services , Individual Retirement Plans, etc. to meet service level commitments.
  7. Analyzes departmental statistics and prepares management reports. Uses available data to monitor problems and measure success.
  8. Leads or participates in special projects to include organizational development issues and the development and implementation of strategic and departmental initiatives, and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of five years related business experience including three years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of VAST/Desktop and AWD systems preferred.
  • Ability to work quickly and independently with attention to detail and sensitivity to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrated client relationship management skills.
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office).
